Ski area Katschberg-Aineck
The mountain Katschberg and the mountain Aineck access the same intermediate ski area Katschberg – Aineck in comfortable skier’s height of 1066 - 2220 meters.
This top ski area between Carinthia and Salzburg offers some truly special highlights, including the "Direttissima", affectionately nicknamed the "Carinthian Streif" by locals due to a gradient ranging from 60 to 100%, as well as one of the longest runs in all of Austria, the "A1", at 6 km in length.
70 km of varied slopes, 16 modern ski lifts and cosy ski huts await you. The lifts go up from the Katschberghöhe (Katschberg) to the Tschaneck (2030 m) and on the other side, up to the Aineck (2220 m). The slopes from the Aineck lead down to St. Margarethen in Lungau.
